国立大学法人筑波大学と株式会社セガは、2025年1月8日、数理・データサイエンス・AI（MDA）分野での先鋭的な人材の育成に向けて、戦略パートナーシップ協定を締結しました。

本協定に基づいて、筑波大学とセガはMDA分野における実務と研究を共同遂行し、データサイエンスとAIを駆使し、地球規模課題を解決できる人材の創出に取り組みます。
今後、両者は対話を深め、メタバースおよびエンタテインメント工学分野をリードする人材の育成・教育支援を行うセガが有する知見やデータを活用した新たな価値の創造や、データの価値向上のための研究を進めます。これまで筑波大学では、AIに関するテーマについてセガの社員に、毎年特別授業の講師を依頼してきました。本協定の締結により、筑波大学の学生をセガに派遣するなど、MDA分野をリードする人材の育成を推進していきます。

株式会社セガと「MDA人材育成戦略パートナーシップ協定」を締結

On January 8, 2025, the University of Tsukuba and SEGA CORPORATION signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at cultivating cutting-edge talent in the fields of Mathematical, Data Science, and AI (MDA).

Under this agreement, the University of Tsukuba and SEGA CORPORATION will jointly conduct practical work and research in the MDA fields, striving to develop talents who can solve global-scale issues using data science and AI.
Going forward, both parties will deepen their collaboration to create new value by utilizing SEGA’s knowledge and data in leading the fields of metaverse and entertainment engineering, and will promote research to enhance the value of data. The University of Tsukuba has previously invited SEGA employees to serve as special lecturers on AI-related topics. With this new agreement, the partnership will expand to include initiatives such as sending university students to SEGA for training, thereby further advancing the development of future leaders in MDA.
