システム情報工学研究群、MDA教育推進室、情報学学位プログラム、高度情報専門人材育成事業の共催により、筑波大学所属の学生・教職員を対象とした「MDAセミナー：データサイエンスが支える金融ビジネス　―コンサルティング事例が示す実践的アプローチ―」を開催します。

株式会社 浜銀総合研究所は、横浜銀行（コンコルディア・フィナンシャルグループ、東証プライム上場）系列のシンクタンクとして、先進的なデータ分析技術と実務に根差した業務知識を組み合わせ、全国の金融機関が抱える課題の解決を支援するコンサルティングサービスを提供しています。

近年、金融機関の経営においては、データ分析結果を活用した高度な意思決定やリスク管理の重要性が一層高まっています。信用リスクに加え、金利リスクや気候リスクなど、管理すべきリスクの多様化が進んでおり、さらに直近の政策金利の上昇を受けて、金融機関を取り巻く経営環境は大きく変化しています。こうした背景から、データサイエンスの活用によるリスク管理を高度化させる重要性がますます高まっています。

“MDA Seminar：Data Science Supporting the Financial Business — Practical Approaches Demonstrated Through Consulting Case Studies —” will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Hamagin Research Institute, Ltd, a think tank affiliated with The Bank of Yokohama,Ltd. (a part of the Concordia Financial Group, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime), offers consulting services that combine advanced data analysis techniques with practical business knowledge to help solve challenges faced by financial institutions across Japan.

In recent years, the importance of advanced decision-making and risk management utilizing data analysis results has grown significantly in the management of financial institutions. In addition to credit risk, the types of risks to be managed have diversified to include interest rate risk, climate risk, and more. Furthermore, the recent rise in policy interest rates has brought major changes to the business environment surrounding financial institutions. Against this backdrop, the need to enhance risk management through the utilization of data science is becoming increasingly critical.

In this seminar, we will welcome a data scientist from Hamagin Research Institute, Ltd, who will introduce case studies on the use of data science in financial institutions.
