External Collaboration

This is an on-campus seminar where you can deepen your knowledge of the industry by hearing directly from representatives of companies and organizations actively recruiting for system information engineering-related positions, as well as from alumni of our university. It is held annually in fall. The seminar lasts for three days, with multiple companies and organizations participating, allowing you to gather a wealth of information at once.

This is an on-campus seminar aimed at facilitating dialogue and matching between companies, organizations, our university's students, and faculty. It can be utilized for finding thesis topics, as well as for creating connections that may lead to joint research and internships. The seminar is held several times a year, and as a rule, one company or organization participates in each session. After the presentation, there is a roundtable discussion where participants have the opportunity to exchange business cards.

To foster talent capable of solving challenges through the use of data science and AI, and to facilitate matching between the areas of expertise and interests of companies, organizations, our university's students, and faculty. The results are utilized in newly established courses, such as the MDA Special Exercise for Top-level Human Resource for Data Science Expert Program (DSEP) and DSEP+.

University of Tsukuba has established agreements based on the "Basic Policy for Cooperation with Businesses, etc. in the Promotion of MDA Education". In collaboration with corporations, we request to dispatch top talents from companies and we send students to corporations for research internships and collaborative research, thereby cultivating MDA talent. Furthermore, we aim to strengthen partnerships with corporations and eventually establish a consortium to foster mathematics data science, and AI talent active in various corporate settings.
